How does it work? Review Theme 2.0

Posting wordpress affiliate reviews has never been easier! Review Theme is very easy to use with its user friendly admin panel as shown in the screenshots below. Included in the package, you will also find a detailed User Guide about how to setup everything and you can always contact our customer support for any questions.

Unzip the archive and get ready for installation

Unzip the archive you purchased and downloaded from Review-Theme.com, inside you will find plugins, psd files, background and logo collection, license, etc – as well as the theme in zip format ready to be uploaded in WordPress.

Review Theme Installation

From the WordPress menu sidebar click on Appearance->Themes->Install Themes->Upload. Then upload and activate the theme that we provided in zip format.

Plugins Installation

We provide a few plugins inside the zip archive. Some are required in order to enjoy all the features of Review-Theme, some are just very useful so we decided to include them. We suggest to install all of them. From the WordPress menu sidebar click on Plugins->Add new->Upload. Then upload and activate all the plugins that we provided in zip format in the folder “Plugins”.

Adding reviews for your products

Adding reviews works just like adding posts. From the WordPress menu sidebar click on Posts->Add new. Insert the name of your product of the title of your review under “Edit Post”, write your review in the content area and scroll down to see the additional options to customize your post. As you can see, with these options you can insert your affiliate link, add a thumbnail, set the number of stars or remove the stars, decide to have the buttons or not, decide to show full post in homepage or just the short preview, etc.

Slideshow

You have an option to show or hide the slideshow in your theme. If you decide to use the slideshow, you can add slides from Slider->Add new. Images can be added inside the post area or using the option “Set featured image” from the side. Title of the post will be shown as title in the animated grey box of the slide (see live demos from homepage). Text added anywhere inside the post area will be shown as a description in the animated grey box of the slide (see live demos from homepage).

Below you can see the options to customize the slider. You can customize the size (width and height) of the slideshow, size of the grey animated box for slide description, set delay and fade duration, and you have 4 transition effects to pick from!

General Options

Below you can see the General Options. Features are well commented, please take a close look at each image below. In short, these options allow to upload a logo or full width header (you can also upload the logos provided with the theme), upload a background (you can also upload the logos provided with the theme) or select a background color, add a favicon, show or hide several components of the theme, set ad banner for the header and insert your google analitycs code.

Add a Video to the Sidebar

Make sure you uploaded and activated the specific plugin provided. Then go on Appearance->Widgets. Drag the Video Widget to your sidebar and upload/link your video in the settings. You can use videos from youtube by selecting “youtube” under “video source” and placing the “youtube video ID” under “video id”.
